The brand is created by Lindsday Edmonson, who started her life on the golden beaches of Weston-super-Mare until she finally succumbed to the lure of the Big Smoke. Where most designers settle somewhere in East London, Lindsay settled in Tottenham.

Quintessentially British and taking great pride in its UK manufacturing all of the ties are handmade in England, from the tie to the labelling and packaging. Noose is very much a home grown, design led brand with a little humour thrown in for good measure.

The collection is extremely unique and brings character to any look. Perfect for formal outfits, a Noose tie can transform a dull looking suit into something more exciting.

Here’s the good thing about printed accessories: You can utilise them in a subtle way, adding a small touch of print but not creating too much of a statement. A floral pocket square can be added to a black suit, to add a different dimension to the outfit. A paisley printed scarf can be layered underneath a jumper or blazer, showing a small touch of detailing from the scarf. These are all ways to use printed accessories in a subtle way. This being said, if you do want to use accessories as a statement, you can adjust the way you wear them to make your outfit stand out more. A scarf can be layered over your clothing, showing the full print therefore creating a statement. A floral pocket square and tie combination can be worn as the focal part of your look, again creating a statement. You see printed accessories are extremely versatile, it’s up to you to decide how you utilise them.

It was important we filter the designers to the bare minimum to start with, we wanted to start minimal and increase the department as time progressed. We’ll be running a few blog posts on each designer as the weeks progress, so make sure you keep an eye out for that.

So without further adue, Brighterman Designer is now officially open.

So to clear up the debate of cheap mens sunglasses vs designer sunglasses, it’s not a hard one to settle. It doesn’t infact matter. We stock a range of sunglasses, from Ray Bans to a cheaper range from Pipel Eyewear but what is common is that the quality of the sunglasses only differ slightly. It’s common to focus on the style of the sunglasses and how they improve your style rather than the brand name. Ray Bans are great, we’re a huge fan, but if you cant afford a pair of £120 sunglasses then opt for the cheaper pair, or go for a few styles. Black wayfarers are the perfect addition to any look, they’re timeless and they’re going to enhance any look. Ray Ban’s do a great wayfarer, but they’re also some more affordable options on the market. Other styles to look for are the aviators and clubmasters.

So remove the debate of what’s better out of designer and cheap sunglasses and focus more on the benefits of sunglasses to style and UV protection.

As the name suggests,  Mocks are a distant relative of the Moccasin, but decades of evolution has resulted in our latest incarnation of this, originally native American footwear, being bang up to date.

Mocks are about relaxed style.  When a pump is too sporty and a flip flop certainly isn’t enough, Mocks are there to see you from the hot beach to cool bar.

In 16 great colours, and named after the hippest of resorts there is a Mock for every destination.  Mocks are made from something with a really long and complicated name, which is impossible to spell, so we call it Mocklite. It is comfortable and wet-able and you can therefore just put your mocks in the dishwasher when required. The Coolmax insole is designed to conduct heat away from the body so should help you to keep cool as the temperature rises. A lemon scented inner sole makes your feet stay fresh, along with small holes to let your feet breathe. A shoe like this is normally only used for functionality, but infact Mocks carry a lot of style.

Wearing It Subtly

Layering your printed shirt underneath a blazer, cardigan or sweater is going to neutralise the bright patterns. It’s not going to completely eliminate it, leaving you to think, “why did I buy this floral shirt in the first place if i’m not going to show it off?!” Layering a dark toned piece of clothing over a bright patterned shirt is going to contrast against each other, complimenting one another and really enhancing your look. It’s a great way to implement this very popular trend this season.

Another way if you’re still not feeling brave enough is to implement a tasty accessory with a nice print. A simple paisley pocket square added to a black blazer will help add a print to your outfit, but won’t create too much of a statement. The pocket square will compliment the blazer A LOT, as they contrast against each other. Another way is to layer a neutral toned accessory over a printed shirt. A great way to be bang on trend this season is to implement a lightweight summer scarf, over a printed shirt. This breaks up the bright pattern of the shirt, and will again create contrast.

Here’s a tasty little look:

This shirt worn alone will create a statement, but layering this Peter Werth light weight scarf over the shirt will neutralise it subtly. Drape the scarf off your shoulders to create more of a relaxed feel.

Prints are extremely important this season, and hopefully you won’t be afraid of them anymore!
